What is sometimes presented to us as history is often slanted, incomplete, or simply erroneous. What to believe?
Author, Civil War historian and former ELCO teacher, Robert Trout will discuss the problems historians face when writing the history of a person or event. Mr. Trout will illustrate this by discussing some of his own research and writing on the
American Civil War.
Mr. Trout has written nine books on the Civil War, starting with “They followed the Plume” published in 1993. He has also written and continues to write
many fiction books of all genres. Folks interested in writing their family history may get some pointers at this program.
